A law firm in Charlotte is seeking a Mid-level to Senior Investment Funds Associate Attorney to support its rapidly expanding Investment Funds team. The ideal candidate must have a background in investment management and fund formation, with preferred experience in SEC matters. Strong interpersonal skills and an entrepreneurial spirit are essential for success in this role.

 

Duties:

  • Assisting in the formation, structuring, and operation of investment funds, including private equity funds, hedge funds, and venture capital funds.
  • Drafting and negotiating fund documents, including limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, and private placement memoranda.
  • Advising clients on regulatory compliance matters related to investment funds, including SEC regulations and securities laws.
  • Conducting due diligence reviews for fund investments and transactions.
  • Providing legal advice and guidance on fund governance and management issues.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in investment funds law.
  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina Bar or eligibility for admission.
  • Strong academic credentials.

 

Education:
