A law firm in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an eDiscovery Counsel with 7+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate environment. The candidate should have extensive experience advising and supporting case teams and clients on all discovery phases, including preservation, production, information governance, deposition/witness preparation, and trial preparation. The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to develop case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols to ensure cost control, risk mitigation, and defensibility.
Duties:
- Advise and support case teams and clients on all aspects of eDiscovery, from preservation to production.
- Develop and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
- Collaborate with attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to ensure successful case outcomes.
- Oversee and ensure the quality of work and deliverables by Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers.
- Provide guidance on eDiscovery laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Explain complex legal and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Utilize eDiscovery tools, including Relativity, for efficient case management.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate environment.
- Licensed and in good standing in the state of practice.
- In-depth knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency with preservation, filtering, and export capabilities of corporate messaging and collaboration solutions (., Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace).
- Strong expertise in eDiscovery tools, with a preference for experience in Relativity.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
Certifications:
- Relevant eDiscovery certifications are a plus.
