Intuit is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Counsel - Privacy Data Governance to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving innovation and enhancing customer trust and brand equity through privacy-first practices. As part of the Data Privacy team within Intuit's Legal Compliance & Policy Organization, you will work closely with key stakeholders across the company and around the world to provide legal counsel, assess risk, and manage engagement with internal and external parties. This is a hybrid role with a mix of remote and on-site work, with current expectations of 2-3 days per week on-site.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and support for data governance initiatives, leveraging a privacy mindset to assess and advise on risk
- Analyze and contribute to the company's understanding of the impact of emerging technology on data governance
- Assist with the enhancement and automation of data governance processes, including data access rights, third party risk assessments, and international data transfers
- Negotiate data protection addenda and other contractual collateral to protect personal information
- Interface with external counsel to ensure compliance with global data protection requirements
- Document requirements and processes for responsible data management and privacy certification obligations
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and communicate the team's mission and vision
- Make suggestions to improve internal processes and practices
- Contribute to a collaborative and diverse Data Privacy team

Qualifications:
- At least 3+ years of experience in a legal role
- Strong knowledge of US and international data privacy laws and regulations
- A learning mindset and comfort operating in gray areas
- Experience in a private sector or law firm setting
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with business partners to drive change
- JD and membership in good standing with at least one US State Bar
- IAPP Privacy certification preferred, but not required

The expected base pay range for this position is $161,500 - $233,500, with additional benefits such as a cash bonus, equity rewards, and comprehensive benefits. Pay is based on factors such as experience, skills, and location.
