Job Overview: A law firm based in Irvine, CA, is seeking a skilled General Liability and Asbestos Defense Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should possess extensive civil litigation defense experience, particularly in general liability matters and asbestos-related personal injury/wrongful death cases.

Duties:

• Handle defense of general liability matters and asbestos-related personal injury/wrongful death cases.
• Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to written discovery requests.
• Take and defend depositions of plaintiffs, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Prepare and argue motions in state and federal court.
• Assist with trial preparation, including drafting trial briefs and preparing witnesses for testimony.

Requirements:

• Admission to the State Bar of California.
• 5-7 years of civil litigation defense experience.
• Experience specifically working on the defense of general liability matters and asbestos-related cases.
• Proficiency in conducting discovery, taking depositions, and preparing and arguing motions.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of California.
