A law firm is seeking a Mid-Level Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney in Saint Louis, MO, with the following qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Mid-Level Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate Attorney will handle various aspects of insurance coverage litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents, conducting discovery, analyzing insurance coverage disputes, and providing coverage opinions.

Duties:

  • Drafting complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Managing all phases of litigation from inception through trial and appeal as necessary
  • Conducting, propounding, and responding to discovery, including documents, written discovery, and depositions
  • Collaborating with clients, witnesses, experts, and other counsel
  • Analyzing insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes and drafting coverage opinions or other coverage analyses

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of litigation experience, with a focus on insurance coverage litigation
  • Strong writing and analytical skills with exceptional academic credentials
  • Ability to effectively communicate research findings into meaningful written work product
  • Dedication, goal-orientation, and a strong work ethic
  • Superior organizational and time-management abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and business development skills
  • Experience handling clients and adversaries directly, with excellent oral advocacy skills
  • Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship experience preferred
  • Experience with PFAS (poly-fluoroalkyl substances) litigation is a plus
  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and be in good standing

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research
  • Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, clients, adversaries, and courts
  • Strong case management skills and experience handling complex litigation matters
