Deloitte is hiring a Tax Senior Manager - Credits & Incentives to join our Business Tax Services team. This position is available in 34 locations and requires a hybrid work model, with professionals expected to co-locate in person 2-3 days per week. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-value engagements for some of the world's largest companies in a variety of industries. The ideal candidate will have experience in serving clients on renewable energy, research and development, or other federal credits and incentive engagements, as well as a passion for providing value to clients.

Position Summary:

- Seeking a Tax Senior Manager with experience in serving clients on renewable energy, research and development, or other federal credits and incentive engagements

- Work on federal credits and incentives opportunities including Research and Development tax credit/deduction analyses, New Markets Tax Credit, Qualified Opportunity Zones, Renewable Energy tax credits, and other federal credit incentive service offerings
- Manage the review and organization of client data for credits and incentives analyses
- Serve as the lead point-of-contact for client personnel with both tax and technical backgrounds
- Develop, mentor, and motivate Consultants and Senior Consultants
- Work with a highly-experienced team that has developed standardized approaches and various analyzer and optimization tools
- Analyze and document the complexities around tax credit eligibility, perform credit calculations, and evaluate entity structuring and deal terms for tax credit investments

- Perform credit calculations
- Evaluate entity structuring and deal terms for tax credit investments
- Manage federal credits and incentives opportunities
- Leverage technical skills to solve complex issues
- Demonstrate sound judgement and instincts with respect to evaluating complex scenarios involving various credits and incentives opportunities
- Develop, mentor, and motivate Consultants and Senior Consultants
- Provide counseling and career guidance
- Participate in all aspects of engagement strategic planning initiatives
- Prioritize workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
- Strong project management and organizational skills

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, law, engineering, technology, or related field
- 8+ years' experience in core federal tax compliance
- Active accreditation required (CPA, licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, PMP, CFA, or Professional Engineer)
- Ability to perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model
- Ability to travel up to 25%, on average
- Big 4 or large CPA firm experience preferred
- Advanced degree (MST, MAcc, LLM, JD) preferred
- Proven leadership skills
- Effective research, and verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
