Position Summary:
- Seeking sharp Tax Managers for Property Tax team
- Recruiting ends on May 31st 2025

The Team:
- Deloitte's Multistate Tax Services (MTS) group is one of the largest State and Local Tax (SALT) practices in the United States
- Team includes former state tax auditors and administrators, industry personnel, tax practitioners, and technology personnel
- Significant experience with all 50 states' tax requirements and nuances
- Services include state income and franchise tax, indirect tax, business restructuring, credits and incentives, sales and use tax outsourcing, excise tax, property tax, and state tax controversy

Work you'll do:
- Provide state and local property tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to multiple clients in various industries
- Work directly with clients and manage tax engagement team
- Receive support from firm leadership
- Perform job responsibilities within a hybrid work model that requires in-person work 2-3 days per week

Responsibilities:
- Maintain and develop strong client relationships for property tax consulting and compliance engagements
- Provide guidance to clients on complex, commercial, real, and personal property tax issues
- Analyze property tax considerations and potential impacts related to business restructuring or due diligence projects
- Perform in-depth reviews of complex property tax returns
- Assist with drafting and presenting proposals to new and existing clients
- Provide guidance and mentoring for the development of the engagement team

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in property tax and with property tax assessors
- One of the following accreditations: Licensed CPA, licensed attorney, Enrolled Agent, CMI, MAI, ASA, CRE, CCIM, or Licensed Texas Senior Property Tax Consultant
- Ability to travel up to 10% based on work and clients served
- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, and/or LLM preferred
- Previous consulting experience from a large property tax practice preferred
- Thorough understanding of PTMS and OneSource Property Tax preferred
- Experience with property tax compliance, planning, analysis, and research preferred
- Experience managing a team and acting as first point of contact with clients preferred

Salary Information:
- Wage range: $95,900 to $203,060 (not including geographic differential)
- Eligible for discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance
