A law firm in Atlanta is seeking a Mid-level Healthcare Litigation (Government Investigations) Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of academic achievement, solid law firm experience, and exceptional research, writing, and communication skills. Substantive experience with federal criminal practice or government investigations, including matters related to the False Claims Act, Anti-kickback statute, Medicare and Medicaid compliance, OIG/DOJ investigations, and healthcare fraud, is advantageous for this role.

 

Duties:

  • Handle healthcare litigation matters with a focus on government investigations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex healthcare regulatory issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court filings.
  • Represent clients in federal and state court proceedings, as well as alternative dispute resolution forums.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients facing government investigations and regulatory compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and effectively advocate for clients.

 

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare litigation, with strong experience in federal and state court practice and procedure, as well as alternative dispute resolution.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • High level of academic achievement.
  • Substantive experience with federal criminal practice or government investigations is preferred.
  • Membership in the Georgia State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Membership in the Georgia State Bar or eligibility for admission through reciprocity.

 

Skills:

  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations, including the False Claims Act, Anti-kickback statute, and Medicare/Medicaid compliance.
