Duties:

  • Handle all aspects of intellectual property litigation, including case strategy, discovery, motions practice, and trial preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to patent law, copyright law, and other intellectual property issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Assist with patent portfolio analysis and client counseling.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.
  • Participate in hearings, depositions, and other court proceedings as required.
  • Manage case files, deadlines, and client communications.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff on case strategy and execution.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar.
  • 3-6 years of experience in IP litigation.
  • Top law school credentials.
  • Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or similar field (preferred).
  • Experience with PTAB disputes (preferred).
  • CAFC clerkship experience (preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • IP/patent litigation experience.
  • Legal research and writing proficiency.
  • Technical background in engineering or computer science.
