As a Trial Attorney, you will be responsible for the competent, ethical, and diligent representation of clients in all cases assigned by your supervisor. This includes handling cases of moderate to great complexity and/or exposure, as well as assisting in cases assigned to other attorneys. You will also have the opportunity to functionally supervise other attorneys and provide legal opinions to the Claims Department.

We are looking for someone with at least three years of experience as an Attorney, including civil jury trial experience or equivalent ADR experience. The ideal candidate should be a member in good standing of the State Bar in which the position is located and capable of handling cases with moderate to great exposure and complexity with minimal supervision. Strong public speaking skills and the ability to handle high case loads in adversarial or confrontational situations are also required.

In this role, you will handle cases virtually throughout the Los Angeles area, with in-person appearances as needed. We are open to candidates throughout Southern California. This is a non-billable hours position, providing a stress-free work environment.

Job Responsibilities:

- Competently and ethically represent clients in assigned cases, including preparing pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs, attending hearings, conferences, interviews, trials, or arbitrations
- Assist other attorneys with cases as assigned
- Functionally supervise attorneys as needed
- Consult with and provide legal opinions to the Claims Department
- Keep supervisor informed of work being done and any problems encountered
- Maintain and update computerized litigation support systems
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Law school degree required
- Member in good standing of the State Bar in which the position is located
- At least three years of experience as an Attorney
- Civil jury trial experience or equivalent ADR experience
- Strong public speaking skills
- Ability to handle high case loads in adversarial or confrontational situations
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
