Job Overview: A law firm in Kalispell, MT, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its litigation practice. The ideal candidate will possess excellent research, reading, and writing skills. While 1-3 years of experience and/or clerkship history is preferred, motivated individuals with relevant skills and capabilities are encouraged to apply.

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis on various cases and issues.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
• Assist in case preparation, including interviewing clients, witnesses, and experts.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and preparation.
• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Montana State Bar, or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of relevant legal experience and/or clerkship history.
• Prior experience in litigation, particularly in civil litigation.
• Familiarity with Montana state court procedures and rules.

Education:
