Duties:

  • Conduct patent prosecution and portfolio management tasks
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their inventions and advise on patent strategy
  • Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO
  • Conduct patent analysis/opinions of counsel and IPRs as needed
  • Stay updated on relevant legal and technical developments in the field of intellectual property law

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house
  • Experience with portfolio management
  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, Physics, or Biomedical (with an electrical or software focus)
  • Graduate-level experience or advanced technical degree is a plus
  • Admission to the USPTO is a plus
  • Ability to learn and embrace new skills and best practices
  • Ability to manage time and deadlines effectively
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team

Education and Certifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Optics, Physics, or Biomedical (with an electrical or software focus)
  • Graduate-level experience or advanced technical degree is a plus
  • Admission to the USPTO is a plus
