A law firm based in San Jose is seeking a seasoned Technology and Business Litigation Attorney to represent high-technology clients in intellectual property litigation and navigate complex business challenges. The ideal candidate should possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree, significant experience in the technology sector, and a proven track record in handling high-exposure litigation matters. This role requires expertise in managing all aspects of litigation from inception to trial, including drafting pleadings and briefs, managing discovery, conducting legal research, and second-chair trial experience. The candidate must be admitted to the California Bar in good standing.

 

Duties:

  • Represent high-technology clients in intellectual property litigation and business challenges.
  • Handle litigation matters from inception to trial, including drafting pleadings and briefs.
  • Manage discovery processes and conduct depositions.
  • Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing.
  • Provide second-chair trial support.
  • Navigate both state and federal court proceedings.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Demonstrated experience in the technology sector, specifically in intellectual property litigation.
  • Minimum of 8 years of solid experience in litigation matters involving product liability, trademarks, patents, copyrights, and related areas.
  • Current California Bar admission in good standing.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Current California Bar admission in good standing.

 

Skills:

  • Strong litigation skills with the ability to manage cases from inception to trial.
  • Excellent legal research, analysis, and writing abilities.
  • Second-chair trial experience.
  • Familiarity with both state and federal court proceedings.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
