A law firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney with the following responsibilities and qualifications:

Job Overview:

The Litigation Attorney will primarily focus on handling litigation matters, including insurance defense cases, in the State of Utah. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience and be licensed to practice law in Utah.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of litigation matters, primarily insurance defense cases
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
• Take and defend depositions
• Represent clients in court hearings and other legal proceedings
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals within the firm

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Utah State Bar
• Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience
• Prior experience in insurance defense is preferred
• Ability to take and defend depositions
• Proficiency in legal research methods
• Strong writing skills with the ability to draft legal documents and briefs
• Ability to argue motions effectively in court
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Highly organized and self-motivated
• Demonstrated work ethic and ability to work independently
• Consistent track record of delivering high-quality work product
