A law firm in San Diego is seeking an Associate Attorney to provide comprehensive legal counsel and representation, particularly in the area of consumer collection litigation. The candidate will advocate for clients both in and out of court, ensuring compliance with legal regulations and maintaining client relationships.

Duties:

• Advocate for clients in court proceedings and negotiations during the legal collection process.
• Draft and review legal briefs, correspondence, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Maintain detailed documentation of account/file activity following firm and client policies.
• Travel to various courts in the state to handle all aspects of case litigation.
• Research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations to formulate legal opinions.
• Communicate effectively with clients to maintain and develop client relationships.
• Stay informed of local, state, and federal changes in law, rules of court, or court procedures.
• Collaborate with other employees to identify high-quality solutions and utilize resources effectively.

Requirements:

• Experience in consumer collection litigation preferred, but willingness to train.
• Knowledge of civil litigation process and state and federal consumer protection laws.
• Superior time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills across various audiences.
