Job Duties:

  • Meet with prospective and current clients to discuss case details and develop strategies.
  • Prepare for and attend court appearances on behalf of clients.
  • Draft letters, pleadings, and other legal documents related to divorce and family law cases.
  • Meet billing requirements set by the firm.
  • Generate new cases through networking, referrals, and marketing efforts.
  • Travel to surrounding counties as needed for court appearances and client meetings.
  • Delegate work to paralegals and legal assistants, and monitor their progress.
  • Provide mentorship and inspiration to other team members.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of legal experience as an attorney, preferably in family law.
  • Membership in the North Carolina State Bar and good standing.
  • Strong communication, research, and writing skills.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina State Bar.

 

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to develop effective case strategies and negotiate settlements.
  • Leadership skills to delegate tasks and mentor team members.
