Deloitte is currently hiring for a Tax Manager position in their Real Estate Tax department. This role is available in 28 different locations. The job involves providing compliance and consulting services to Real Estate Investment Trusts, Real Estate Private Equity Funds, and real estate joint ventures and operating partnerships. The Tax Manager will work directly with clients, manage the tax engagement team, and have access to an elite group of specialists. They will also have the opportunity to use the latest tax technologies in the real estate industry to serve clients. The salary range for this position is $84,980 to $169,650, with the potential for additional bonuses through a discretionary annual incentive program. The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate or international tax, and a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree (such as a Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM) and previous experience at a Big 4 or large CPA firm. The Tax Manager will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including assisting clients with life events for partnerships, using proprietary technologies to streamline tax compliance processes, maintaining and developing client relationships, advising on tax issues, and overseeing complex federal tax projects. They will also have the opportunity to mentor and develop junior staff members. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of Subchapter K, partnership allocation methodologies, and Real Estate Investment Trust qualification rules. They should also have experience with US clients and a basic understanding of US tax laws. Strong communication and research skills are essential, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a hybrid work model that requires in-person collaboration 2-3 days per week.
