As a Patent Agent, the successful candidate will play a critical role in assisting patent attorneys with the preparation and prosecution of patent applications. The position involves close collaboration with inventors on newly created products, identifying patentable inventions, and drafting patent applications.   • Assist patent attorneys in preparing and prosecuting patent applications.
  • Collaborate with inventors on newly created products.

  • Draft patent applications with the assistance of the patent team.
  • Track the patent application process from initial application to granted patent.
  • Conduct regular ability searches.
  • Respond to office actions and correspond with the . Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Solve client challenges and respond to client needs.
  • Consistently meet billable hour requirements.
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback to peers.
  • Train new employees and find solutions to problems.
  • Attend required training and accept planned changes willingly.
  • Work as a member of the team and understand the team's goals.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the firm's values and Diversity and Inclusion values.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • USPTO Registration required.

 

Experience:

  • 1 year of professional experience.
  • Preferably 2+ years of experience.
