A law firm is seeking a Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel for their New Orleans location. The ideal candidate will participate in building the existing practice, have significant client contact, and move into a leadership role in the long term. Academically distinguished applicants with excellent writing and analytical skills are sought to assume responsibility in this very active practice.

Job Overview:

Duties:

• Conduct legal research and analysis related to tax matters.
• Draft legal documents including wills, trusts, and estate planning documents.
• Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on tax planning strategies.
• Represent clients in tax-related disputes and proceedings.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate or better in Law.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
