A law firm is seeking an Innovation Attorney - E & I and Finance for its Irvine office. The candidate will support the firm's innovation efforts to enhance the delivery of legal services through the integration of people, process, and technology, with a specific focus on the E&I and Finance business units. They will collaborate closely with the Global Head of Practice Innovation and other members and leaders within these units.

 

Duties:

  • Develop and enhance the use of practice content to streamline legal service delivery, including automating precedent libraries and coordinating the creation of new precedents.
  • Coordinate the organization and maintenance of deal documents and libraries.
  • Identify relevant practice content, including third-party resources and forms, and integrate them into practice workflows.
  • Lead projects to develop and improve client-facing solutions, such as client/deal intake and scoping processes.
  • Support projects to streamline and improve legal service delivery, including the firm's data strategy and digitalization efforts.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of training curriculum and knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Lead projects to integrate AI, including generative AI, into legal practice to automate workflows and documents.
  • Regularly evaluate the efficient delivery of legal services and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Educate legal professionals on practice content, client-facing solutions, technology, and other initiatives to enhance legal services.
  • Communicate and consult with administrators, lawyers, paralegals, and staff on various legal service initiatives and projects.
  • Develop case studies for marketing and business development purposes and maintain portal pages and other resources for the business unit.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris doctorate (.) from an accredited university or college and admission to practice in good standing in a US jurisdiction.
  • 4+ years of experience as an E&I attorney in a large law firm.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in layman’s terms.
  • Familiarity with best practices and technology for managing workflows, documents, and communications.
  • Understanding of knowledge management, practice management, and efficiency principles.
  • Enthusiasm for legal technology, including AI and generative AI.
  • Excellent analytical, project management, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a positive outlook.

 

Education:

Juris doctorate (.) from an accredited university or college.

 

Certifications:

Admission to practice in good standing in a US jurisdiction.

 

Skills:
