Duties:

  • Conduct legal research on tax laws, regulations, and precedents to support client cases and projects.
  • Draft legal documents, including trusts, wills, and estate plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on matters related to tax planning, estate planning, and trust administration.
  • Represent clients in tax-related disputes, including litigation and negotiation with tax authorities.
  • Assist senior attorneys with complex tax matters and estate planning strategies.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably specializing in tax law.
  • Strong academic background with a JD from an accredited law school.
  • Experience in tax, estate, and trust planning, as well as trust and estate administration.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and solid organizational skills.
  • Prior professional experience and/or an LLM in tax law is a plus.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Utah State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Additional certification in tax law or estate planning (., LLM) is preferred.
