A law firm in Denver is seeking a skilled Lateral Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Data Innovation Associate Attorney with 4-9 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in privacy, cybersecurity, and/or technology company matters, with experience in regulatory counseling, compliance, government investigations, and related litigation. Knowledge of Federal Trade Commission consumer protection-related regulatory matters is desirable.

 

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel and support on privacy, cybersecurity, and data innovation matters.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance, including GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulations.
  • Assist in developing and implementing data protection and cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Conduct internal investigations and respond to data breaches and cybersecurity incidents.
  • Represent clients in government investigations and enforcement actions related to privacy and cybersecurity.
  • Draft and negotiate privacy and data protection agreements, including data processing agreements and privacy policies.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and developments in privacy, cybersecurity, and data innovation laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address legal issues and achieve client objectives.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in CO.
  • 4-9 years of experience in privacy, cybersecurity, and/or technology company matters.
  • Strong understanding of privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and FTC regulations.
  • Experience in regulatory counseling, compliance, and government investigations.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

 

Education:

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

 

Certifications:

Admission to the State Bar and eligibility to practice law in CO.

 

Skills:
