Job Overview: A law firm in Denver, CO, is seeking an Attorney with substantial experience in real estate finance law, particularly in loan origination and asset management. The ideal candidate should possess strong academic credentials, excellent writing and communication skills, and at least 5+ years of relevant experience in a large law firm setting.

Duties:

• Manage real estate finance transactions from inception through closing and post-closing activities.
• Handle loan origination work for large structured commercial real estate finance transactions, including mezzanine loans and preferred equity.
• Execute asset management and workout activities related to real estate finance matters.
• Conducted secondary market repurchase facility work and developed other exit strategies for lenders.
• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients in various real estate finance matters.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience practicing real estate finance law in a large law firm environment.
• Demonstrated experience in running transactions on behalf of lenders, including extensive involvement in loan origination work and asset management.
• Strong understanding of commercial real estate finance, including mezzanine loans, preferred equity, and secondary market repurchase facilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.

Skills:

• Solid experience in real estate finance law, particularly in loan origination and asset management.
