Position Summary:

Deloitte is currently seeking a Tax Senior Manager for their Private Wealth Tax practice. The ideal candidate is a leader and strategic thinker with extensive knowledge in various areas of taxation. They will excel at delivering compliance and consulting services to individual clients, trusts, estates, family offices, investment vehicles, and closely-held business concerns. What You'll Do:

- Perform high-level reviews of tax research and tax returns
- Lead client meetings on compliance and consulting projects
- Train, mentor, and supervise new and experienced Tax Consultants and Tax Seniors
- Take on lead client-contact roles and billing and profitability analysis on engagements
- Be involved in marketplace eminence building and pursuits

The Team:

Deloitte's Private Wealth team focuses on the specialized needs of the ultra-affluent, including families with multigenerational wealth, entrepreneurs, family offices, and closely-held business owners. The team provides comprehensive, independent, and objective wealth transfer planning advice to clients, helping them make strategic decisions related to their personal financial comfort, business and investment needs, family legacy, and charitable giving.

Qualifications:

Required:

- Ability to work in a hybrid work model with US Tax professionals co-locating in person 2-3 days per week
- 8+ years of experience in public accounting (at least 3 years in investment management) or equivalent in law firms or industry
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related field
- Active accreditation such as CPA, attorney, Enrolled Agent, Chartered Financial Advisor (CFA), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP)
- Experience reviewing partnership and/or trust documents
- Experience managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence, and billing
- Ability to travel up to 25% on average

Preferred:

- Advanced degree such as MST, MAcc, JD, or LLM
- Prior Big 4 experience
- Knowledge of fund accounting and general ledger accounting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Excellent research and writing skills

Salary Information:

The wage range for this role is $119,490 to $238,680, taking into account various factors such as skill sets, experience, training, licensure, and certifications. Compensation decisions are also based on organizational needs and are not typically at the top of the range for the role.
