Provide more opportunities for growth and increase the pay.
Technology is up to date. The staff is effective and efficient. Leadership is high at the firm. You will form great relationships here.
There is not always a clear path for growth. The pay isn't that great.
Continue to make clear the expectations you have of associates so that everyone is working under the same guidance and approach.
The firm holds itself out as a place where work-life balance is important and that actually turns out to be the case. No face time is required and there is no stress to bill large amount of hours, yet the compensation is extremely fair and, in fact, generous.

Maintain the small size and continue hiring great people. Keep doing what you are doing and everyone will stay happy.
The people at Ledgewood are great to work with and are all highly talented -- no weak links. The small size means that everyone is crucial to the success of a deal and to the firm itself. The work-life balance is terrific.
The small size and limited scope means that certain types of work can't be done in house (e.g., no litigation department).
Thank you.
