Very entrepreneurial firm that supports associates in developing clients and helping them on their path to becoming a partner.
Keep up your great environment, and belief that all things are possible with the right people.
JMBM is a very special firm with some amazing people at all levels of staff, administration and attorneys. It is a high power firm with attorneys and clients you might expect at a much larger natinoal firm -- many of the lawyers moved laterally from such larger firm to JMBM. That makes an exciting and demanding environment for professionals who really want to take care of their clients in a supportive environment. If you strive for excellence and are devoted to the practice, this is one of the best law firms you will every find.
Let's face it, not everyone wants to work hard, but hard work comes with the practice of law. And you can tell that the people really care about one another at this firm. You can also tell that they care about helping their clients accomplish their goals. The Firm's success makes some people jealous.
Get out of the business, you are doing everyone a disservice. Or at least offer a money back guarantee if you don't get any results, which you don't
The firm will tell you all you need to hear and be available before they collect your money. They call back, and are very nice at this point
Once they get your retainer, they basically will burn through the entire amount and mark it up to research. So basically you will be paying these attorneys how to learn to be lawyers
Avoid Michael Brown aka M. Anthony Brown aka Tony Brown. My guess is he has so many names because his bad reviews are following him and he need to keep changing aliases. Next week he will be M. A. Brown or some other combination. This guy is the worst attorney I've every run across
Probably the best thing about this firm was getting rid of them. They wasted my time, money, etc and it was such a relief to dump them. Wish I would have seen the reviews earlier. They will be out of business soon as I'm surprised they have any clients left
I would of liked to see management make sure that everyone really enjoys their work first and foremost. I would then like to see management replace a few of the current attorney's working in the office with professionals that actually enjoy their work.
I thought that the pay was great and the benefits were great as well. I formed some good relationships with some of the interns that were there as well. Health insurance was excellent as well.
I felt as though many of my coworkers did not enjoy their work and this showed in the way that they treated the front desk staff and interacted with their other coworkers.
If you can endure high levels of stress with little life outside of work then it may be worth to work at this. Work/life balance is a challenge but it is still achievable if you learn to manage your time in an effective way.
Learned something new every day. Learned how to work as a team to achieve the Firm's overall goals. The range of work and clients that I'm exposed to is stimulating and interesting.
From my experience I personally find the work life balance at Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell, L.L.P. to be quite atrocious. Remuneration is below average or at the best average.
Thank you.
