Law Graduates from Class of 2012 Give Their Schools Good Ratings Despite Difficult Job Market, LawCrossing.com Finds 5,000 Entry-level Jobs for Attorneys

October 24, 2012 — Pasadena, California — Despite media stories of a shortage of entry-level attorney jobs, most law students from the class of 2012 have given their law schools a good rating. The results are from a survey conducted by Kaplan Bar Review. It includes the responses of 705 law school graduates, who are also Kaplan Bar Review students, from the class of 2012. 37 percent of the respondents said that their law school gave them an “A” grade education, while 53 percent gave their law schools a “B” rating. Only 9 percent gave their schools a “C” rating and 1 percent gave theirs a “D”. None of the respondents gave their schools an “F” grade. The law students were also upbeat about the job market. 56 percent of the respondents said that they had not found jobs in the legal field yet. But 62 percent said that they would get jobs in the next three months. There are 683 California attorney jobs in this category, with New York in second place with 550 jobs for new attorneys.
