Legal Aid Programs Cutting 350 Lawyers; LawCrossing.com Can Help
August 27, 2012
August 27, 2012 — Pasadena, CA — Cuts are happening across all industries and in all job markets these days, and the legal field is no exception. In fact, according to Legal Services Corp.--a survey group--legal aid programs will be cutting 350 lawyers in order to uphold recent budget cuts.

In total, legal aid programs will be cutting more than 750 employees. These cuts have been deemed necessary due to both budget cuts and funding losses for programs all across the country. Most legal aid programs are facing cuts, something along the lines of 87%. Some are tapping into savings to keep operations afloat. Others are making huge sacrifices like cutting employees. Others are having to cut back on their services offered or are even closing up shop altogether. What's really unfortunate about this is that more people are in need of legal aid now than ever before because of the high rate of unemployment.

Despite all of this unfortunate news, those that worked for legal aid programs that find themselves out of work should be able to find new employment quickly by using LawCrossing.com. This site offers job listings for the entire legal industry in every position imaginable. The entire country is represented, so it should be easy to find a position in your location and your practice area.

LawCrossing.com can help you to close the gap between jobs and ensure you're never out of work for too long. So long as you keep an eye on the listings and apply to interesting positions as they become available, you should catch the attention of law firms when it matters the most.
