LawCrossing Gets a New Look; Introduces Seven-Day Free Trial Membership
September 22, 2008
The top-notch legal job board readies itself to provide thousands of attorneys, law students, and paralegals with jobs in the currently slumping job market.

Pasadena, CA  — LawCrossing (www.lawcrossing.com), the top-notch legal job board offering over 140,000 legal jobs, recently got a makeover. The website is now similar in look and feel to the other sites of its umbrella company, EmploymentCrossing. ''We received a lot of positive responses from our clients to the changes we made to EmploymentCrossing and felt the need to make the same changes for LawCrossing,'' says Harrison Barnes, CEO of LawCrossing.

The new LawCrossing is much more user-friendly, offers better navigation features, and has introduced some new editorial voices. The legal job count has also been rising rapidly, with the site currently listing over 140,000 legal jobs. ''This rapid increase in jobs is due to the rapidly increasing number of websites that we are monitoring daily with our advanced technology for new legal jobs.'' The website regularly monitors over 8,000 websites, and the number of sites has been rising. The company also gives priority to jobs from various employer websites, including law firm jobs, in-house jobs, government jobs, fellowship jobs, and public interest jobs, among others.

The new LawCrossing also introduces even more advanced job-search features and is opening its doors to allow free access to its 140,000-plus legal jobs. ''It is important for legal job seekers to understand why we are a subscription-based service. The seven-day free trial will help them recognize the amount of research and manpower that goes into consolidating each and every legal job opening from every possible resource,'' adds Barnes.

LawCrossing has also been making advances to its back-end technology, which has made the site even stronger. ''For example, we endeavor not only to connect job seekers to each legal job as soon as it's posted on a site that we monitor but also to remove job listings as soon as they close. In the past, all job listings that were removed from the original source were being removed from our site within 48 hours. Now they are being removed within 24 hours,'' adds Barnes. This ensures that virtually every job listing on LawCrossing is current, active, and available on the original source website.

The future for the site, meanwhile, looks even brighter. ''We have a lot planned for the near future. In the next few months, we will be making further radical changes to our back-end technology. These changes will allow us to make sure that every single job that we find in the legal industry makes its way through LawCrossing,'' says Barnes.

The following is the current breakdown of job listings on LawCrossing: ''Because LawCrossing is not available to the public, we can offer more jobs, more personalized resources, and an overall higher success rate for our members,'' says Barnes.
