Job Title: Adjunct Faculty - Criminal Justice

Job Responsibilities:

Program Operation:
- Perform all instructional duties necessary to teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes.
- Provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follow syllabus content and requirements.
- Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
- Submit requested information within established timelines.

Students:
- Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions or provide assistance.
- Address student concerns and consult with program coordinator to resolve issues if necessary.

Instruction:
- Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s).
- Use technology such as Canvas, PowerPoint, etc., as appropriate.
- Notify program/department chair in the event of an emergency absence.
- Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views and promote the same as an integral part of one's work.

Education and Experience Information:

A qualified faculty member in criminal justice must meet the following criteria:
1. Possess an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in criminology, criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, sociology, human services, behavioral sciences, or other related fields (., earned Juris Doctor degree).

2. Possess one of the following:
- Professional certification in the field.
- Two years of directly related work experience.
- Completed academic preparation appropriate to the program.
