Finance - Project Finance

Project Assistant - Commercial Finance The candidate will be responsible for performing clerical tasks and providing assistance in the areas of secure lending transactions and, in connection therewith, assist in the preparation of closing books and uniform commercial case financing statements. Assist attorneys and paralegals with document production, UCC financing statements, preparation of closing books for completed transactions, and special projects as requested. Perform file organization and maintenance. Maintain up-to-date time reports to ensure accurate client billing.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required; Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited paralegal program a plus. 1+ years related experience preferably in a law firm environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with knowledge of Internet searching, Outlook, Word and Excel preferred. Excellent organizational skills including record keeping, data collection, and system information. Ability to compile and analyze data and furnish information in report format, written correspondence, e-mail, or verbally. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to communicate with courtesy and diplomacy, efficiently follow written and verbal instructions, provide information, and maintain effective relationships with a diverse group of attorneys, clients, staff, and outside contacts. Analytical skills requiring an aptitude for detail and accuracy in order to perform clerical duties as requested, process information, and perform essential duties. Proactive with excellent troubleshooting, problem resolution, and follow-through skills. Dependable team player who works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment. Ability to act independently and make routine decisions within scope of the position’s responsibilities. Possess excellent knowledge of reading, writing, grammar, spelling, punctuation, proofreading, and formatting in order to interpret source data, prepare litigation documents and forms, proofread material for grammatical, typographical, and spelling errors, and perform file maintenance. Work occasionally requires more than 37.5 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position.
