Legal Secretary The candidate provides legal administrative support to attorneys and paralegals in the Litigation department. Prepares, revises and finalizes legal documents, pleadings and discovery documents. Transcribes correspondence from dictation. Maintains attorney calendar to include appointments, completes travel arrangements and coordinates attorney meetings. Maintains paper and electronic client files. Files and records documents with the appropriate offices/courts; E-File with State and Federal Courts. Completes time entries for attorneys. Opens new client/matters following specific Firm protocols. Assists attorney with marketing materials, creates and edits presentations. Closes files for delivery to offsite storage. Must have 3-5 years of secretarial experience in a law firm. Should have strong software skills including advanced Word and change tracking software. Excellent writing and communication skills are needed.
