Legal Assistant/Paralegal Duties: Preparing correspondence, pleadings, memoranda and other legal documents; record keeping and filing of electronic data and documents; court (federal and state) and agency filings; calendaring; scheduling and coordinating appointments, meetings, depositions, hearings and other events; coordinating itineraries and making travel arrangements.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: 3+ years of experience required as a legal assistant/paralegal, experience in employment and labor law a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Extensive experience with court filings in state and federal court including ECF. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, basic proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint preferred and ability to quickly master new software/technology. Must be able to locate and order medical records; liaison with experts; prepare and respond to discovery; set up trial materials; prepare trial subpoenas and coordinate trial witnesses. Candidate with law firm experience supporting multiple attorneys will be considered. Must have strong attention to detail and handle task quickly.
