Duties include: 1. Complete all dictation, typing and edits within 48 hours of assignment accurately and in the proper legal format; 2. Prepare correspondence, motions and notices in a timely manner; copy and prepare mail on a daily basis; 3. Be knowledgeable and responsive to client guidelines; 4. Be knowledgeable about Windows, Word, Outlook and other Microsoft Office products as required. 5. Treat firm and client information confidentially; 6. Prepare standard discovery, motions, notices and certificates of service at attorney's instruction; 7. Review and respond, if necessary to assigned attorneys e-mail within 2 hours of receipt; 8. Communicate status of pending assignments to attorneys and paralegals on a daily basis; 9. Locate, compile and prepare exhibits for motions, depositions and trials; 10. Be knowledgeable of state court rules; individual courts and judges requirements for court filings, motions, trials and appeals; 11. When attorneys are out of the office, review and communicate with attorney, if necessary, all received incoming mail (e-mails and USPS); 12. Save file related sent and received e-mails to appropriate folder within 24 hours of receipt; 13. Scan and upload documents to various client websites in compliance with individual client guidelines; 14. Maintain and enter information into various client information systems including, but not limited to: Claims Intelligence, Legal Services Solutions (LSS) and Visibillity; 15. Schedule depositions, meetings and court dates within 48 hours of assignment from attorney; 16. Accurately maintain diary and calendar for assigned attorneys; 17. Communicate relevant information to clients, opposing and co-counsel, experts and vendors at attorney's instruction professionally 18. Return all phone calls within 24 hours of receipt; 19. Check attorneys voice mail messages and communicate same to attorney no less than one time per day; Please submit all resumes via Career Builder. Do not fax resumes to local office. Requirements At least 5 years experience in litigation environment, preferably insurance defense. Must type 75-80 wpm accurately and have dictaphone experience. Strong organizational and computer skills required. Must be a team player Must have the ability to muilt-task and prioritze work from several attorneys Must know Microsoft Office Experience using a case management system (i.e : Client Profiles )
