The Henry and Lucy Moses Fund, started by our founder and his wife, awards millions of dollars of gifts to New York City charities. Mr. Moses was a leader in hospital philanthropy, serving first as president of Montefiore Hospital and later as chairman of the board. He was also a director and member of the planning commission of the Hospital Council of Greater New York and a member of the council of the United Hospital Fund. Today the fund provides support for hospitals, Jewish and other welfare funds, higher and legal education programs, assistance for minorities, the disabled social service agencies, cultural and environmental concerns, including Central Park in New York, NY.
