Overview

We are delighted to announce that South Toranomon Law Offices and LM Law Offices, both in Tokyo, Japan, will integrate into a single firm, STLM Law Offices effective on May 1, 2024.

South Toranomon is a mid-sized law firm established in 1998 with eighteen (18) active attorneys and one (1) honorary member. LM is a boutique law firm established in 2006 wssssith six (6) active attorneys. The two firms have focused their practice on business law, including corporate law, M&A, international, corporate governance matter, investigation of corporate misconduct, employment, publication, entertainment. commercial law, IT and IP law, privacy law, bankruptcy and restructuring, and litigations; and many of the attorneys have been serving as a corporate director or a member of supervisory board of public corporations.

South Toranomon and LM are an excellent fit, as they share the similar culture, value and practices. The attorneys in the two firms have worked together in large bankruptcy administration ssand corporate restructuring cases and have enjoyed a wonderful working relationship. This integration will enable us to offer strengthened expertise and greater capacity and responsiveness to our clients.
