"Genuine small high-octane boutique commercial litigation firm"   - Anonymous      Write an Anonymous Review

- Reviewed on Sep 12, 2017

Advice to law firm management: Institute pro bono requirement to increase oral advocacy and case management opportunities for associates and junior partners. Offer training to teach associates and junior partners about client development.

Pros: On the litigation side: Terrific work. Complex interesting cases with large amounts in controversy, demanding deep exploration of the issues and top shelf lawyering. Terrific training ground to develop one's analytical abilities, strategic thinking, and writing skills. Firm is full of good people and has a great work environment. Bottom line: great work with great people. The firm has a terrific transactional group as well, which is devoted to a few industries (including energy). Occasionally, attorneys from the two groups work on the same matter. As with the litigation side, every attorney on the transactional side is top shelf. They are a lot of fun to work with.

Cons: Opportunities are too rare for associates to argue motions in court, take and defend depositions, and develop their oral advocacy skills. No formal effort in place to train, mentor, or assist associates to develop their own book of business.

Current or former employee?: Current Employee

Job type: Full time

Everyone Loves LawCrossing

LawCrossing was probably the best legal board I have used. I liked the layout and it was user friendly. I tried to use another job board, but it was not user friendly and was kind of a pain, whereas LawCrossing was easy to use to find jobs. I really liked it. I would certainly recommend this site and service to my colleagues.
