Advice to law firm management:
If someone wants to start specializing in a particular field I would let them. I think having a few people who are genuinely passionate about one area would help the firm immensely as well as give it a better intellectual base.
Pros:
I love the challenge of working here. I have been exposed to many different fields of law as well as the aspects of litigation associated with them. The partners want you to succeed and become a successful lawyer. No one here is out to get you.
Cons:
The only real downside to Friedman is you will work in all areas of litigation. You will never specialize in one particular area. If you want to specialize it is not the best place. Otherwise there are really no downsides to this firm.
