Lathrop GPM LLP follows the set of hiring criteria outlined below.
We hire individuals who demonstrate an aptitude for the law with exceptional academic performance, written and verbal communication skills, and analytical skills. Qualified candidates possess a proficiency in leadership and the ability to excel in a collaborative environment.
We consider pro bono representation a professional responsibility and a community obligation of the firm. Lathrop & Gage employs a full-time attorney whose sole responsibility is serving clients who cannot pay; at any given time, she manages 75-125 active cases in family court. In addition, Lathrop & Gage attorneys donate their time through court appointments in criminal, domestic and juvenile law, and we provide counsel to welfare agencies and domestic violence shelters, among others. Because we recognize that this kind of representation provides opportunities for professional growth, the firm allows up to 50 hours of pro bono work to be counted directly toward associates' annual goals.
Thank you.
