Advice to law firm management: Get it together and have a heart. Quit expecting people to worship the ground associate attorneys walk on. Also the free bagels on Thursdays are nice but come on.
Pros: Your coworkers who are working in the trenches with you are genuinely good people and look out for each other.
Cons: Associate attorneys lack managerial training and are only focused on the number of cases done per day regardless of how many cases (160+) you are working on and how burnt out you are becoming.
Training is mediocre at best, obviously it makes it appear a great place to work.
A word of guidance to anyone considering this position: if they’re hiring in December you will get thrown in at their most busy time of year and likely be let go after it.
