5.Current EmployeeGreat firm.Associate Lawyer in Cleveland, OHRecommendProsFlexible and opportunities to grow and excel.ConsI do not have any cons about working for this firm.
Go to NYC if you're going to charge astronomical fees. Be upfront about your fees! Former client
Jennifer was pleasant and lengthly conversations with me regarding my home and the construction remodeling while visiting because my son was going through a counter-claim Lorain County Domestic Relations Court trying to gain custody of his two daughters.
Jennifer charged an excessive amount of fees while supposedly trying to help my son. He doesn't make much money and has many mouths to feed and pays close to $700 per month in child support. The case he was countering involved her as a GAL and was dismissed. The Plaintiff should have had to pay the fees, which were unbelievable. This is not NYC this is Lorain, Ohio!! Instead Cavitch Familo & Durkin harass my son via invoice statements that they know he cannot pay.
I would advise the management to not accept so many cases, so that attorneys can devote more attention to clients and deliver quality work.
The cases that the firm handles are fairly complex in nature. Even with cases being somewhat difficult, everyone was able to come together and find solutions to various problems that were encountered. We were able to have equal input into cases and solving various problems.
The worst part of the firm would be the many scheduling conflicts. Even though we worked to solve problems together, the scheduling of cases was not good. The amount of cases the firm accepted were far more than we could handle in a timely fashion. We were not able to devote as much time as a client needed.
Thank you.
