Mid-level Coverage Associate
The candidate responsibilities will include: Drafting and preparing pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents; Conducting legal research, analysis and writing; Managing discovery, including taking/presenting witnesses for deposition. Should have 3-5 years of insurance coverage experience.
Candidate must have: JD Degree from an accredited law school and strong academic credentials. Admission to the California Bar. Additional state Bar admissions preferred. 5+ years of experience in complex insurance, reinsurance, litigation and bad faith coverage. Superior legal research, writing, and verbal communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Strong organizational and time management skills.
Seeking Associate Attorney with 1-3 years' experience (preferably with an insurance background or insurance coverage-related experience, though it is not absolutely essential as we will train the right candidate with the potential skill-set). Candidates must have excellent writing and communication skills, and be able to assume significant case handling responsibilities.
Candidate will work for Insurance Coverage and Litigation group. Will handle preparation of insurance coverage analysis and advice for domestic and international insurers in first and third party claims across a range of coverages. Will handle litigating bad faith claims and insurance coverage disputes in state and federal courts.
