Law Firm Seeks Conflicts Attorney (Remote):
**Members Only** is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join our team remotely. This position will be responsible for managing all aspects of new business intake, including conflict checking and resolution, documentation of matter engagement, and coordinating with Firm attorneys to secure agreement and execution by clients. The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in the United States, as well as two years of experience as a Conflicts Attorney or comparable experience. Responsibilities:
- Manage all new business intake details to ensure accuracy and adherence with Firm policies and procedures
- Conduct conflict of interest searches and assist Firm attorneys with clearance of conflicts
- Draft engagement letters and/or consents needed for new engagements
- Coordinate with Firm Managing Partner and/or Office Managing Partners on approval of business terms
- Supervise and work with conflicts staff
- Coordinate the review and implementation of Outside Counsel Guidelines
- Assist with lateral hiring process and onboarding of new matters for lateral hires
- Handle other projects and special requests as needed
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active license to practice law in the United States
- Two years’ experience as a Conflicts Attorney or comparable experience
- Strong understanding of legal relationships and loss prevention/legal risk management
- Knowledge of Rules of Professional Conduct
- Experience with database review and searching
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Familiarity with reference materials and conducting internet searches
