Job Title: Conflicts Analyst
Job Responsibilities:
The Conflicts Analyst plays a vital role within the Office of the General Counsel at a global law firm. The primary responsibilities include preparing and analyzing standard conflicts reports related to incoming attorneys and new client business. The analyst will handle various conflicts checks, such as advisory, NDAs, transactional checks, and others. Key responsibilities involve:
- Communicating with attorneys and staff regarding conflict check results, clarifying any missing information from the request form, and validating conflicts check requirements with the requesting attorney or secretary.
- Updating data in conflicts databases as necessary and conducting corporate research using both internal and external resources to confirm the accuracy of the information.
- Obtaining necessary guidance from attorneys or other conflicts staff to understand the requirements for properly evaluating conflicts checks involving lateral candidates, potential clients, or potential adverse parties.
- Conducting research on corporate entities subject to conflicts review using electronic databases, the Internet, and print sources.
- Analyzing and responding to attorneys' concerns about any potential or actual conflicts.
- Protecting and maintaining highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information retained by the law firm.
Education and Experience Information:
- A bachelor's degree or an equivalent is preferred. However, a minimum of four years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- At least three years of demonstrated work experience involving professional interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and the ability to work independently.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a law firm or other professional services firm is preferred.
- At least two years of experience with Intapp Open software is preferred.
Salary Information:
The position offers a salary range of USD $75, to USD $95, per year.
