Law Firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our Single Plaintiff Employment Litigation department. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging cases, gain valuable experience, and make a positive impact on our clients' lives. We are looking for someone with 3-7+ years of experience in employment litigation, who is passionate about advocating for the rights of employees and has a strong track record of success in this area of law.

This is a full-time position in our Cerritos, CA office. We also have openings in our Fresno, Irvine, Pasadena, Pleasanton, Riverside, Sacramento, San Diego, and Sausalito offices. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, excellent communication and organization skills, and a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

- Defending single plaintiff harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful termination claims, charges, and lawsuits in state and federal court
- Defending complaints and charges before the CRD, EEOC, and/or California Labor Commissioner
- Providing general employment-related advice and counsel to clients
- Preparing and responding to discovery requests
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Handling law and motion work, including preparing and responding to dispositive motions, moving to compel arbitration, and discovery-related motions
- Preparing case evaluations for clients
- Proactively managing and handling cases
- Preparing for and attending mediations, including preparing mediation briefs
- Attending court hearings, status conferences, and arguing dispositive motions
- Representing clients in arbitration and trial proceedings
- Conducting legal research and writing briefs and memoranda

Qualifications:

- 3-7+ years of experience in employment litigation
- Admitted to practice law in the State of California
- Strong research and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Passion for advocating for the rights of employees
