ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Tax Senior Manager, Real Estate, will serve as a tax and business advisor, delivering industry-focused tax advisory and compliance services to real estate clients. This role involves becoming a trusted advisor to clients by offering solutions to complex tax and business issues, thereby enhancing industry expertise and career growth. The successful candidate will work with team and leadership to foster business growth and partake in business development and thought leadership activities. Additionally, the role includes leading and mentoring a talented real estate team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Serve as a member and leader of an engagement team providing federal, state, and local tax compliance and consulting services to real estate clients.
- Lead and nurture client relationships.
- Consult with clients on tax and business matters daily.
- Deliver exceptional client service in a timely, professional, and accurate manner.
- Provide tax planning and identify savings opportunities for clients.
- Identify and provide additional consultative solutions and services that add value to the client.
- Collaborate with other tax consulting services on various tax matters, including state and local, high net worth, international, research and development, cost segregation, and other advisory services.
- Engage in business development and thought leadership activities.
- Assist with all aspects of client engagement, including staffing, billing, and engagement economics.
- Build long-lasting relationships with colleagues and clients.
- Maintain a work-life balance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting; a Master's, Law, or advanced degree is desirable.
- CPA or JD is required.
Experience:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience providing federal tax compliance and consulting services to real estate clients in a professional services firm, with experience in supervising, mentoring, and counseling associates.
- Proven leadership, project management, communication, and analytical skills.
- A history of delivering exceptional client service.
- Proficient in software and Microsoft Suite applications.
Compensation:
- The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $160,000 to $220,000, depending on the candidate's experience level.
