Job Title: Doc Prep Processor - Remote Work from Home

Job Responsibilities:

A Legal Assistant in this role is responsible for providing a wide range of legal support and administrative assistance to lawyers and other legal professionals within the law firm's practice. The main focus is on representing financial institutions in areas such as bankruptcy, collections, foreclosure, litigation, and residential real estate or mortgage law. Specific duties include:

- Assisting attorneys with client representation in bankruptcy proceedings.
- Reviewing daily reports to ensure efficient and timely handling of files.
- Evaluating information and documents provided by clients to determine if a referral is warranted.
- Organizing, analyzing, and cross-checking/validating information.
- Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, objections, and assignments.
- Proofreading legal forms and documents for accuracy.
- Providing support to paralegals, management, and attorneys.
- Assisting with additional projects as needed.

Education and Experience Information:

- High school diploma is required.
- Previous experience in a law firm is preferred but not required.
- Experience in bankruptcy or mortgage servicing is preferred but not required.
- Relevant computer knowledge and experience are necessary.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Strong planning and organizing skills, attention to detail, and accuracy are essential.
- Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills are important.

Salary Information:

The position is paid on an hourly basis.
