Job Title: Associate Attorney
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare estate planning documents, including revocable and irrevocable trusts, wills, and powers of attorney.
- Manage probate and trust administration cases, which involves handling court filings, sending required notices, and guiding personal representatives and trustees through the legal process.
- Handle guardianship and conservatorship cases and manage contested probate litigation.
- Work closely with clients to understand their family dynamics and create tailored solutions to meet their specific needs and goals.
- Stay current with Arizona estate planning and probate laws, as well as any relevant federal changes.
- Collaborate with team members to provide compassionate and detail-oriented legal services.
Education and Experience Information:
- A minimum of 3–10 years of experience in trusts, estates, and probate administration is required.
- A strong command of the Arizona probate code and estate planning best practices is essential.
- Active membership with the Arizona State Bar is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in trusts and estates is mandatory.
Salary Information:
- The compensation structure is production-based with a performance bonus.
- The salary range is between $100,000 and $150,000 annually, plus a bonus based on production, which is commensurate with experience and performance.
Skills:
- Strong legal research skills using resources like Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
- Strong writing and communication skills, particularly in client-facing settings.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple estate planning and probate matters simultaneously.
- Empathy and professionalism when working with families and individuals through sensitive planning discussions.
- Exceptional attention to detail in document preparation and file management.
