Senior Enterprise Applications and Data Architect

Job Responsibilities:
As a member of the Information Systems Department, the Senior Enterprise Applications and Data Architect is tasked with assessing, developing, and maintaining architecture components within the application portfolio. The role involves monitoring and governing the associated data within the environment. Key responsibilities include:

- Assisting in the road mapping of the application and data portfolio and developing transition plans for moving from current to future solutions.
- Planning, directing, and coordinating the standardization of data between various on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Identifying workflow process inefficiencies and implementing changes to improve productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness of products or services.
- Reviewing application architecture and data integration options and making recommendations to IS management for possible implementation with on-premise or cloud-hosted solutions.
- Serving as the Project Manager on new enterprise-wide applications or updates to existing applications. This includes creating project plans, tracking budgets, monitoring deadlines, and evaluating project team performance.
- Leading the testing of new software or new versions of software, creating and maintaining test environments, and managing testing teams and procedures.
- Creating and maintaining production environments for enterprise-wide applications, managing server and desktop specifications, client software packaging, server software installations, integrations, and customizations.
- Resolving and responding to Help Desk tickets related to enterprise-wide applications, noting trends, performing troubleshooting, and escalating issues to other teams and vendors as needed.
- Keeping current on patches and releases related to enterprise-wide applications, reviewing release notes, and recommending updates.
- Interfacing with vendors, industry peers, and professional associations to stay informed of existing and evolving industry standards and technologies.

Education and Experience:
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred.

Experience:
- A minimum of ten years of extensive experience managing enterprise-wide applications, preferably in a law firm.
- At least five years of related work experience with cloud data analytics platform technologies such as Azure, AWS, and Snowflake.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Solid project management skills, with the ability to operate as part of a team organizing, planning, and executing small to large-scale projects from the envisioning stage through implementation.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of enterprise system integrations, including multi-cloud integrations, data movement (ETL/ELT), data architecture, and data consumption and visualization.
- Knowledge of infrastructure, server, operating systems, and network communications.
- A process-minded approach with a strict regard for details.
- Strong ability to install and maintain enterprise-wide applications, including servers, customizations, and integrations.
- Knowledge of SQL server and SQL scripting.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft technologies, including Azure AD, Power Bi, OneDrive, and Azure Virtual Desktop remote app streaming.
- Certification in Microsoft 365 Enterprise is preferred.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position applies to various locations such as Atlantic City, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Morristown, New York, Princeton, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, . The salary range reflects a variety of factors considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $140,000 to $175,000.

Additional Information:
This job operates in a clerical, office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The role involves sedentary work, with exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
