Morgan Lewis, a leading law firm in Philadelphia, is seeking a midlevel associate to join their Labor & Employment practice group. This position requires a minimum of two years of experience in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff cases, wage and hour and other class-action lawsuits, internal investigations, restrictive covenant litigation, and arbitrations. The ideal candidate will also have experience briefing motions, propounding and responding to discovery (including ESI discovery), and possess excellent academic credentials, research, organization, writing, and analytical skills.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in employment litigation, but we will also consider those with significant non-employment litigation experience. The candidate must be an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in employment litigation cases, including single-plaintiff, class-action, and arbitration matters
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare briefs and motions
- Propound and respond to discovery, including ESI discovery
- Participate in internal investigations and provide legal advice to clients on employment-related matters
- Collaborate with other attorneys and paralegals in the Labor & Employment practice group
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of large law firm experience
- Strong preference for experience in employment litigation
- Active member of the Pennsylvania Bar
- Excellent academic credentials
- Strong research, organization, writing, and analytical skills
